About

I’m Queen-Nadia, a PhD student in Learning Experience Design & Technology at the University of Oklahoma and a multilingual educator turned instructional designer. My career began in the Swahili classroom at Ohio University, where I realized that what truly energized me wasn’t just teaching, it was designing the learning experiences, tools, and systems that help people understand, connect, and grow. Today, I bring together applied linguistics, instructional design principles, and educational psychology to create learning experiences that are human-centered, culturally informed, and grounded in research. Fluent in English, Swahili, Ga, and Akan, I design with a global mindset, building content that is accessible, inclusive, and responsive to diverse learner needs. My design approach is shaped by Universal Design for Learning (UDL), multimedia learning principles, and cognitive load theory. I build with intention, ensuring that every learning touchpoint supports clarity, engagement, and equitable access. I work with tools such as Canvas, Google Suite, Padlet, Nearpod, and Articulate 360 to create interactive lessons, microlearning modules, and full course structures aligned with learning outcomes. As a Graduate Research Assistant, I also contribute to projects in instructional innovation and learning sciences, exploring how technology, including AI, can drive more personalized and equitable learning pathways.

Whether I’m designing curriculum, developing eLearning content, or conducting research, my mission is simple: create learning experiences that empower people and build connections across languages, cultures, and contexts.

📊Learner Impact

These outcomes reflect intentional instructional design choices, spaced practice for retention, scaffolded activities for confidence building, interactive technologies for engagement, and UDL principles for inclusive learning environments.
